As per previous programme, protest Demonstration /Meeting in front of Cuttack RMS was held on 26.10.2018 from 8 A. M. to 10 A. M by Odisha state committee of CCGE&W and AIPRPA on the following demands.
1. To save Cuttack RMS from dismantling already started in a clever way from 17.10.2018, and to save public postal parcel mails from unnecessary delay, detention, back routing and double /triple handling of the same of Cuttack District, Cuttack City and Jagatsingpur district.
2. Demanding Cuttack RMS Parcel Set being the parcel concentration centre of Odisha circle as Level - 1 Parcel Hub instead of L - 2 and to declare Jharsuguda and BrahmaPur RMS as L - 1 P. H. and all other RMS offices as L-2 P. H. in Odisha circle for larger interst of public and for tangible benefits.
3. To maintain the status quo ante of Cuttack RMS and all sets of it as on 16.10.2018,
4. To stop proposal of shifting of RMS N Dn Hqrs to BBSR if any, in the plea of renovation and construction of the multi storied building there in the place and to adjust and accommodate the office in any deptl building /staff quarters either of Postal or Telecom with due discussions in appropriate forums to avoid public agitation.
All the affiliates of Cuttack City Coordination committee of Unions and Associations, Odisha Sramik Karmachari Ekta Manch and Pragatisila Nagarik Manch also participated with the programmes for solidarity.
The demonstration / meeting was presided over by Com Mohini Mohan Samal, President of CCGE&W and among other leaders, Com Banshidhar Mohanty, our respected Leader, Master, Guide and Philosopher and Former Circle Secretary of RMS Employees Union, Com R N Mallik from OSKEM, Com M G Barik from City CoC, Com Abhay Das from CDIEA, Com Prakash Ch Ray from BEFI, Com Nirmal Das from State Government Employees C. C., Com P. K Sinha from OSEA, Com. Mohan Pati from Pragatisila Nagarik Manch and Com H. K. Mohanty from AIPRPA addressed and condemned the orders of Dvl administration issued without any authority of Circle office, BBSR or D G Posts, New Delhi and without their approvals and demanded to restore the normalcy of Cuttack RMS before 2.11.2018 failing which the decision taken by the CCGE&W and AIPRPA, Odisha state committee to launch Dharana here will be held very seriously inviting all CTU leaders and leaders of independent parties like BJD etc to save Cuttack RMS from cleverly dismantling and not to allow it to give bury in future.
Com R N Dhal, General Secretary of CCGE&W and AIPRPA elaborately discussed everything with data and documents and on PNOP orders /Hubs as well. It was unanimously decided to adopt a resolution on the matter as per the advice of our Senior leader Com Banshidhar Mohanty under the signature of the President and to forward it to the CPMG, Odisha Circle for reference and requesting him for needful action at an early to avoid hue and cry of the resentment mounted. More than 70-80 members participated in the program and made it a success. Thanks to all participants on behalf of the CCGE&W and AIPRPA, Odisha state committee. Lal Salam to all.
