Taking care of COVID-19 positive cases
and expeditious settlement of all death cases arising out of COVID-19 – regarding
Respected Sir,
In response to this
Circle Union letter dated 20.09.2020, Circle Office, Bhubaneswar vide its
letter No. WL/21-8/2020, dated 21.09.2020 has intimated that you are there to
look after the positive cases and expeditious settlement of COVID-19 death
cases. The copy of the Circle Office letter as above is attached here with for
kind reference.
But to our utter
dissatisfaction, out of the 6 death cases occurred so far in our knowledge as
detailed below, the progress status towards payment of the 10 lakh financial
compensation is not at all satisfactory. We are in dark if any kind of
hurriedness is shown by the administration in this regard.

In addition, as
reported to this Circle Union, the conditions of the officials tested with
COVID-19 positive are monitored neither by the State Govt as advertised nor by
our Circle / Regional / Divisional administration.
Since you are the
Designated Officer to look after the positive cases and expeditious settlement
of all COVID-19 death cases, we would like to request you to kindly monitor the
cases personally to help the family members of the deceased employees who are
in distress.
A line
of reply to the Union on the nature of action taken so far on the above death
cases is highly solicited.
With
regards.

21.09.2020)
Yours faithfully,
(Bruhaspati
