Sub:   Forthcoming Campaign Programmes of NFPE Odisha State CoC in connection with one day National General Strike on 08.01.2020

Dear Comrades,

As per programme scheduled vide NFPE Odisha State CoC letter dated 29.10.2019, a preparatory meeting for making successful the forthcoming one day National General Strike on 08.01.2020 was held on 10.11.2019 in PRC. Bhubaneswar GPO which was participated by all Circle Secretaries, Circle Union Office bearers, Divisional Secretaries / representatives of all NFPE Unions in Odisha Circle. 

The meeting was presided by Com. B Samal, Chairman, NFPE, Odisha State CoC, Circle Secretary, AIPEU, Group-C, Odisha Circle and Organizing General Secretary, AIPEU, Gr-C, CHQ, New Delhi.

As many as 100 leaders attended the meeting and unanimous resolution was adopted to make the one day nationwide general strike on 08.01.2020 successful. The campaign programmes at Regional / Divisional levels were fixed.

In addition, many retired comrades also addressed the meeting. The committee invited volunteers from the participants to register their views on our strength and weakness in conducting the forthcoming general strike and accordingly our strength was decided to be exploited to overcome the weakness.

The CoC felicitated Com. Srikant Mallick, Com. B Samal and Com. Chandrabati Das who have been elected to their respective CHQ body during their last All India Biennial Conferences  as All India President, AIPSBCOEA, Organizing General Secretary, AIPEU, Gr-C and Member Women Sub-Committee, AIPEU, Gr-C respectively.

NFPE, Odisha State CoC appreciates and thanks Team Bhubaneswar for the nice arrangements made by them to conduct the meeting successfully. 

The following campaign programmes are tentatively fixed by NFPE Odisha State CoC during the month of December-2019 throughout the Circle.

As such, all the Divisional Secretaries and Circle Secretaries are requested to start preparations and ensure massive participation with their members in the venues in time on the given dates for successful conductance of the campaign programmes to bring a roaring success in Odisha Circle.  NFPE Odisha State CoC will print posters and leaflets as campaign materials which will be despatched in due course.

This apart, all the Divisional Secretaries of NFPE Unions are also requested to start their own campaign programmes organizing combined General Body meetings at their own convenience involving local trade union leaders to encourage massive participation in the one day National General Strike on 08.01.2020 for bringing total success.
