Sub:   Protest against rolling out of Post Offices in TNF locations to CBS Platform through merger / downgradation

Ref.-   C O letter No.PMU/1-5/2012/Ch. VII, dated 28.09.2020

 Respected Sir,

Inviting a kind reference to Circle Office letter under reference on the above subject, we are extremely sorry to intimate that we don’t accept the method of forceful migration of the TNF locations to CBS platform either through merger with nearest CBS Post Office or through downgradation to B O of nearest CBS Post Office. This will downsize the sub office establishment and will go against the agreement with the Staff Side on merger / downgradation.

 However, we have no objection if such POs are migrated to CBS platform on relocation to the nearest network feasible area. This Circle Union strongly protests both merger and downgradation in the name of migration.

 Therefore, we would like to request you to kindly direct the Divisional Heads of Berhampur, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keojhar, Bolangir and Kalahandi to prioritize relocation of all the POs in TNF locations listed in C O letter under reference to the nearest network feasible area instead of merger or downgradation.

 A line of reply on the nature of action taken is highly solicited.
