She was suffering from cancer and under treatment in Trust Well Hospital, Bangalore. The decease was detected few days back on 11th July, 2020 in its third stage. The doctors tried but failed. On the request of her family members, she was discharged from hospital on 01.08.2020 and brought to home at about 17.00 hours and breathed her last at 20.00 hours.
Com. R. Seethalakshmithe, first woman General Secretary among all affiliated unions of NFPE, elected in 25th All India Conference held at Cuttack (Odisha) from 29th to 31st December 2013 and succeeded by 26th AIC held at Ujjain during Jan-2015. Her services rendered to NFPE as Deput Secretary General NFPE are very much appreciable.
As a strong follower of Com. Adi and followed his foot-steps with all loyalty, commitment and dedication and continued the same throughout the career.
Started her career as GDS (EDA), she got promoted as Post-women and worked in Bangalore City MDG, Bangalore West Division, Bangalore and retired as post-women. She is familiar with 5 languages and can make oration fluently.
Even after her retirement see continued to work for the working class with all her cheerful appearance and smiling always remains in the hearts of many and many people all over India, particularly, in Postal department.
Remembering her valuable contributions towards the working class, NFPE, Odisha dips the flag in her remembrance.
While we convey our deep condolences to the bereaved family members, pray Lord Jagannath to give them courage to bear with this irreparable loss.
