Few
minutes ago, had a complete discussion with Com. R N Parashar, Secretary
General NFPE and appraised the situation of Odisha Circle conveying rightly the
views and sentiments of the entirety of postal employees and workers in
connection with COVID-19. Tomorrow (on 23.03.2020) a team leaded by Com.
Parashar is visiting Directorate to demand complete closure of POs and RMS
offices till restoration of normalcy. Here, we will also place our demand
before the Chief PMG, Odisha Circle.
In
addition, also requested him to appraise the Secretary (Posts) for allotment of
more funds to Odisha Circle especially under TA head and to relax the norms for
purchase of necessary items through GeM portal due to the difficulties faced at
the fag end of this financial year. The copy of the letter written in this
regard to the Chief PMG, Odisha has been forwarded to him.
