Ref.- Circle Office letter
No. DOP/Odisha/COVID-19/2020, dated 15.04.2020
Respected
Sir,
This is to intimate that the bigger offices like MDGs / HOs / GPOs have
been ordered to run the offices in skeletal mode with less than 50% staff vide
C O letter under reference.
In
this context, we would like to bring your kind notice that while doorstep
delivery has been ordered to be stopped during the lockdown period prioritizing
window delivery using the phone numbers of the addressees given on the
wrappers, there is no need of full attendance of delivery staff even in other
offices, viz, LSG and below.
Illustratively,
we can say that many offices in Bhubaneswar Division like Rasulgarh (‘A’
Class), S E Railway Project Complex (‘B’ Class), KIIT SO (‘C’ Class), R R L SO
(‘C’ Class,), Budheswari Colony (LSG), Baramunda Colony (LSG) etc are having 8
to 12 postmen / delivery staff and there is no need to call all these delivery
staff to attended office during the lockdown period. This will unnecessarily
affect the so called social distancing to contain spread of COVID-19.
Similar
might be the situation in all other Divisions of Odisha Circle.
Therefore,
it is requested kindly to instruct all Divisional / Unit heads to deploy
minimum delivery staff on roster basis in such offices (LSG and below) till
lockdown period is over to maintain proper social distancing to contain spread
of COVID-19.
A line of reply on the nature of action taken is highly
solicited.
With regards.
Yours faithfully,
(Bruhaspati Samal)
Circle Secretary &
Leader,
RJCM (Staff Side), Odisha
