Sub:- Regarding opening of Aadhaar Enrolment / Updation Centers in Odisha Circle

Respected Sir,
As known to this Circle Union, now Aadhaar kits are under supply to different identified post offices in Odisha Circle with imparting necessary training to the officials for opening of Aadhaar Enrolment / Updation Centers.

In this context, this Circle Union would like to intimate that opening of Aadhaar Enrolment Centers in single / double handed S Os without separate counter and additional manpower will seriously affect the normal functioning of such post offices since fresh enrolment is a time taking process. Identification of such enrolment centers in bigger offices with less workload rather than single/double-handed delivery S Os is quite welcome which can ensure prompt service delivery.

While the staff members of single/double-handed delivery post offices are forced to suffer with heavy workload due to introduction of various new products and services, this will add salt to their injury.

Secondly, if Aadhaar updation is allowed in any identified post office throughout the day / full business hours, normal transactions of such P Os will certainly be affected inviting unnecessary public resentment.

As such, this Circle Union would like to request you to reconsider opening of Aadhaar Enrolment Centers especially in MDGs with more hands and drop the single/double-handed delivery S Os for the purpose and to specify  the counter transactions both for fresh enrolment and updation maximum for one or two hours in a day as done in case of MPKBY / SAS Agents’ business which may facilitate the post offices for prompt and effective service delivery.

A line of reply on the action taken is highly solicited.

With regards.
Yours faithfully,

B SAMAL
Circle Secretary
