Comrade Shib Sankar Roy, 79, Working President of NCCPA, former Assistant General Secretary of NFPE P3 CHQ and former Circle Secretary AIPEU, Group - C, West Bengal Circle passed away on 13.08.2020 morning due to massive heart attack. He was also detected with Corona +ve in rapid testing.
Even last month he actively participated in the NCCPA video conference and placed his views effectively as always. In all forums he used to be very effective in placing his ideas with concrete facts. He never speaks without authenticated truths. He has also written many books on trade Union activities including postal functions and NPS.
He led the West Bengal Postal and CG employees in various capacities and also the united pensioners movement.
We are shocked and at a loss of proper words to express our deep sorrow. We dip our flag and banner in respect of comrade Shib Sankar Roy!
On behalf of NFPE, Odisha Circle, we convey our deep conddolences to the bereaved family members and pray Lord Jagannath to give them courage to bear with this irreparable loss.
May the departed soul rest in peace.
