The entire Odisha Postal Circle is deeply shocked and surprised to know the sudden and unexpected demise of Com Niranjan Parija, aged 65 , ex-PRI(P), Rourkela HO and ex-Divisional Secretary, AIPEU , Group-C, Sundergarh Division ( from 2000 to 2012 ) and ex-Financial Secretary ( from 1997 to 2003 ) / ex-Assistant Circle Secretary (2003 to 2013), AIPEU, Group - C, Odisha Circle.
On 16.08.2018, at about 3 AM, Com. Parija was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack due to cardiac arrest and soon after his admission the doctor declared him death.
Com. Parija was left by his wife, two sons daughter-in-law and grand son.
Born on 03.06.1953, Com. Parija joined in the Department on .02.03.1973 and retired as PRI(P), Rourkela HO on 30.06 2013.
After retirement he formed AIPRPA in Sundargarh Dvn which is affiliated with Odisha state committee of AIPRPA since 2014.
As a stalwart Trade Union leader, Com.Parija was a man of principle and his devoted organizational contribution towards Sundergarh Division in particular and Odisha Circle in general is par excellence. Though a permanent resident of Sankhatras, a village in the outskirt of Cuttack City, he used to stay in Chhend Colony, Rourkela. Recently he had been staying in his native village for treatment of his wife and discharging other household responsibilities for last few months.
Odisha Circle lost another strong Trade union leader.
Deep condolences to the bereaved family members on behalf of AIPEU, Group - C, Odisha , NFPE / Confederation, Keisha State CoC.
May God give them the courage to bear with this irreparable loss.
