Circle Union writes to the Chief PMG, Odisha regarding scarcity of water in Postal Colony, Koraput

No. P3Odisha/04-02/2017
Dated at Bhubaneswar the 6th  February, 2017
To
Dr. Santosh Ku. Kamila, IPoS
Chief Postmaster General, Odisha Circle
Bhubaneswar – 751 001

Sub : Scarcity of water in Postal Colony, Koraput

Respected Sir,
It is brought to the notice of this Circle Union that 22 staff quarters of Postal Colony, Koraput regularly suffer from acute shortage of water during the month of January to June every year due to lowering of water level. The colony is having 5 inches diameter bore well drilled 15 years back which is unable to provide adequate water during summer.

The matter has been discussed with the Divisional administration severally without any result.

This Circle Union has also written to the PMG Berhampur Region vide its letter No. UN/AIPEU, Gr-C/Odisha/11-2015, dated 03.11.2015.

No tangible step is seen to be taken so far to solve the issue from either end.

Now the Summer is approaching. The miseries of the staff members of Postal Colony Koraput will beggar description without water.

Therefore, it is once again requested kindly to consider provision of a new bore-well with extra depth than the present one as required for enabling to supply regular water in the campus of Koraput Postal Colony before this summer bringing an end to the plights of occupants.

Expecting your kind consideration and immediate action.

With regards.
Yours faithfully,

( BRUHASPATI  SAMAL)
Circle Secretary
