India Post Releases Special cover on Human Rights Day
India Post, Maharashtra Circle released a special cover on 'human rights', today, 10th December 2020 on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, in Mumbai. The special cover was released in the presence of Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra and Goa State, Shri Harish Chandra Agrawal and Postmaster General, Mumbai Region, Ms Swati Pandey. This initiative is to create public awareness and also ensure equality, cooperation, peace and universal respect among people.
Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948. The UDHR is a document that proclaims the inalienable rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being - regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Available in more than 500 languages, it is the most translated document in the world.
