Sub:-  Merger of IPPB with POSB -  Proposal regarding.

Respected Comrade,
There is no second opinion about it that all the works of India Post Payments Bank Limited starting from campaigning and motivation to members of public, opening of IPPB Account, doorstep banking including AePS transactions and other related works are completely performed by the DoP staff members and not by the IPPB personnel except some technical support which can be easily performed by our able System Administrators who have the credit of smooth implementation of I T Modernization Project, 2012.

Secondly, it is widely noticed that the IPPB personnel are engaged only in exercising authoritarian activities on the DoP staff members as if they are the administrators and we are their subordinates. The supervisory activities for which each branch is paid with lakhs of rupees every month towards salary and establishment charges can be well performed by our able Postmasters.

If the facilities and services now offered through IPPB Account are just extended to the members of public through POSB Account, the existence of IPPB Ltd will not be required anymore since DoP staff members are quite competent to perform any work at anytime under any circumstances including that of IPPB Ltd. Thus, huge amount spent from the Govt. exchequer towards this separate establishment will be saved.

There is no doubt about it that the dedicated workforces of India Post are quite committed to take the Department to a next height which has been proved severally during this COVID-19 pandemic. The Department should have faith on its own employees.

Under the circumstance, you are requested to appraise the Directorate to merge the IPPB Ltd with POSB extending all the benefits of IPPB Account through POSB Account to minimize the continuous deficit of the Department and to ensure effective service delivery to the members of public under the goodwill of this glorious Department.

With regards.
Comradely yours,

(Bruhaspati Samal)
Circle Secretary
