Dear Comrades,
Since the battlelines are drawn, we have conducted massive organizational campaign programmes against the anti-employees / anti-workers / anti-people policies of the Govt. and tried to aware our members to raise voice against the following important issues.
- To scrap NPS and restore OPS to all employees. Guarantee 50% of the last pay drawn as Minimum Pension.
- Honour assurance given by Group of Ministers (GoM) to NJCA leaders on 30-06-2016 and increase Minimum Pay and Fitment formula.
- Withdraw “Very Good” bench mark for MACP
- Stop corporatisation / privatisation of Railways, Defence and Postal Departments and stop closure of Govt. establishments and outsourcing.
- Fill up all vacant posts in the Central Government Departments.
- Regularisation of Gramin Dak Sevaks granting Civil servant status and implement remaining positive recommendations of Kamalesh Chandra Committee report.
- Regularise all casual/contract workers including those joined on/after 01-09-1993.
- Ensure equal pay for equal work for all.
- Remove 5% condition imposed on compassionate appointments.
Grant five time bound promotions to all Group B & C employees.
- Withdraw the anti-worker wage / labour codes and other anti-worker Labour reforms and stop attack on trade union rights.
- Settle all the problems arising out of implementation of C.S.I, R.I.C.T./ IPPB / CBS and Postmen delivery mobile App & CIS.
- Implement 5 days week in Postal and RMS
Like this, the list is long. We think, our young and educated staff members have realized why we are participating in the strike on 08.01.2020.
As aware, 10 Central Trade Unions, independent federations including Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and workers are participating in the nationwide General Strike with 12 point charter of demands of the TUs, 10 point charter of demands of the Confederation and 25 point charter of demands of postal employees. NFPE has served the strike notice on 12.12.2019. Similarly FNPO, affiliated to INTUC has also served the strike notice on 12.12.2019. As many as 20 crore people of the country are going to participate in the general strike.
So, we sincerely appeal all our members not be discouraged in any manner and contribute their best to make the strike successful since the present economic and political situations of the country put several questions on our existence, self-prestige, dignity, status. We have to save India, India Post and our own organization which has given us bread and butter. In addition, we also appeal the entirety of employees and workers irrespective and cadre and wing to extend their solidarity to protest against injustice arising out of policy deficiencies.
So please be brave and a struggler to snatch away your rights from the Govt. Don’t be a flatterer and an escapist to live as an parasite. It is better to die with struggle rather to beg and flatter.
